A new-ish school (3 years old), Picasso Charter Academy is, on paper, a tech-oriented high school running a unique form of education – Small size (student population in the hundreds), usage of highly creative projects and personal laptops in lieu of assignments and textbooks – all students work as a team and research digitally to complete a project (whether it be bringing a giant propeller plane on campus, making a business, changing a lamp, or nearly setting campus on fire). The school lends as much free creative reign to the students, to the point where the students themselves practically nearly run the school itself. This, combined with the quirky and radically varied staff, has lead to Picasso developing an eccentric personality and a ‘rivalry’ of sorts with the older, larger, and more traditional Silvercreek High
